HEYYYYYY GUYSSSS! This week's morning practices will start at 6.45am. Those who live far, you must come by 7am. In this morning practices we aim to improve on either sectionals or onzome, or both. While waiting for those to come, sections please practice together in small groups. Find a place in the school to practice but try not to practice in a noisy place. If you guys as an onzome, play well and maintain the standard that we had on Friday, we will try to not have morning practices on Thursday and Friday morning, okay? c: So work hard for it! HEHEEE I hope our morning practices can be useful. We do not have much practices left as you know, time flies really fast, therefore, treasure every practice sessions! (I'm sorry that the this post seems weird to read. The blog is just irritating me, really. It's really old already.) SUP GUYSSSSS!!! This is a note to y'all that we are having extra practice session tomorrow, 1st April, after our school Jogathon, from 3pm - 4.30pm. Please be puntual, so that you'll have a higher chance of us releasing you earlier. Sec 1s and new recruits, your CCA practices resumes next Monday, 4th April! c: Please remind each other! Info for 2nd April, 5th Annual Competition day: 1) Check that you're leaving your house with the right bag (that contains your shoes, and gowns, if you're carrying it). I know this is idiot-proof but I'm just afraid some of you are not alert in the morning! 2) Report to school at 6.45am. The gates should be opened, that's what I've heard from our CCA teachers-in-charge. 3) The faster we finish changing and putting on make-up, the more time we have to cool ourselves down. But I do not wish to see people running around and injuring yourself because you're rushing. Just have the sense of "urgency" because we are only limited to 1 hour to do this. 4) Please bring along your snacks and water bottle/drinks as no food will be provided during the competition till the end of the day. Therefore, bring sufficient food and drinks if you think you are those that go hungry easily. Recommended snack: Granola bar! c: 5) You are reminded to use black/dark brown hair accessories. 6) People with make-up at home can do it at home first. This will help us save time. If we lack of time, we'll do our make-up in the bus. We will do our best as a team! Remember what I said! If the chain is broken, we will try our best to fix it back. Same goes to your playing. HI EVERYONE!!!

For tomorrow's SYF Preview, please report to the PB room by 1pm sharp. We will start changing into our gowns and court shoes, and next, doing our hair if there is a need to tidy some people's hair, and lastly, putting on our make up.

Those with purple eyeshadows, pink blushers, lipglosses, please bring your own to save time!

Please be reminded that your parents are not allowed to bring your siblings, cameras, video cameras, or they will not be allowed to view the SYF preview AT ALL.

HI GUYS!

Our SYF Rehearsal is this coming Monday, 21st March!

Please assemble in the Guitar Room with your gown and court shoes, guitar and scores ready by 4.30pm. We will go down as a group to board the bus. :D

It'll be from 5pm to 10.30pm-ish. The venue is at The Republic Cultural Centre 9, Woodlands Ave 9 Singapore 738964.
I think we will be having a two-way transport, 95% confirmed. Those who live near there and parents are fetching, please write a letter so that you can give it to our respective teachers-in-charge. According to what Mrs Inigo said, we are excused to miss the first 2 periods of our Tuesday school lesson(s). If not, I guess she'll tell us on Monday itself. c:

Also, please use the GUITAR FILE! THE BLUE ONE! We are standardizing it. The other time we gave it all out to you guys, so y'all should be having/sharing it and using it on Monday onwards. Practice using that file!

HI GUYS!

I know I haven't been updating the blog. There's some issues with the blog 1 or 2 weeks ago and I couldn't solve it. :c But it's okay now!! c:

ALRIGHT! So our extra Wednesday practices starts this week! So be @ the Guitar Room punctually this Wednesday okay! We'll keep track of your attendance.

For the sec 1s and new recruits, CCA resumes for you this Friday, 11th March (as you can see from the side of this blog). So please come on Friday!

Here is the CCA schedule for our March holidays week:

Monday, 14th March: 2.30pm to 5.30pm

Tuesday, 15th March: 2.30pm to 7.15pm

Our exchange programme to ACJC is on the 15th March, therefore we'll be ending in the evening for that day, as it'll probably end around 6.3o pm-ish, and we have to get our transport back (the schoo bus). Students with lessons falling on the same day, please have a quick lunch and join us back after you're done as usual.

Each level must submit at least 1 design.

Designs are due Term 4 Week 2.

So you'll have about 2 weeks to do it! :)

Of course, you don't have to submit individual ones, you can do it in groups!

One more thing, we are going to vote on the material of the shirt.

I hope the message from your ex-senoirs (below) have motivated you even more!

Here are the details for tomorrow's full dress rehearsal day:

- Bring your gown and court shoes if you didn't leave it in the dressing room @ RP.

- Make sure your file is the GUITAR FILE THAT EVERYONE IS USING! If you have yet to pay the $$, pay it by next week to either Farhana or Rene or myself. Because you NEED the file while performing! YOU NEEEEED IT.

- Leave your classes by 12.25pm, and then have your lunch.

- Meet at the props room by 12.45pm-12.50pm. Do not be late! If you see any headless guitar chickens wandering around and that wasn't listening to this reminder we've said just now, please tell them to go to the props room punctually to get ready!

- Those who have make up, please bring! (Eg. blusher, foundation, concealer, lipgloss?)

- And if you have free time before we board the bus and head to RP, please put on your make up if you can! Due to time constrain, please understand! If we have extra time to put on our make up when we reach RP, we can.

- HAIR DO! We will not issue you the ribbons tomorrow as we know you guys might lose it to and fro. Therefore, we will only issue you the ribbons on Friday. :)

- If you want to tie french plaids or a ponytail, please do so. Short hair peeps, I'm sorry to say you don't need to hassle with your hair. HEHE.

Hello Fellow SAC guitarist! Here's a special shoutout to all performing for the upcoming arts alive! It is great to hear that the school is hosting such a big performance for all performing arts cca! And yes, our very own cca is a part of it! It's a good opportunity for the juniors since you will have a chance to play in front of a large audience.
We're sure everyone is busy practicing their parts and trying to perfect it but do remember to take care of yourselves during this few days before the big day!

As seniors, we are proud that our juniors are still doing well.We hope to see you walking confidently onto stage with your purple gowns, high heels and your guitar to impress the audience with what you have prepared. However, due to our upcoming exams most of us wont be able to make it. But we are definitely proud that you have come this far!

To end this off, we hope you enjoy the experience as an ensemble and to give it your best on stage! Smile and be confident! Move to the music too :)

I know this blog wasn't active for at a month or so. Apologies!

Anyway, Guitar didn't end off at a high note today.

We really hope that you guys take our words seriously, and try not to make those mistakes again.

Anyway, as you can see from the left, we currently have vacant spaces for Secretary and Treasurer. WE NEED SOMEONE/TWO PEOPLE! So if you're interested, kindly please tell us and we'll interview you so and so. :)

OK, on to the homework/task given to you that is due the next time we meet, which is after our Common Test week! This is compulsory for ALL. There will be a consequence of you not doing this!

We want you to pen down honest thoughts and answers, so please answer honestly. Thank you!

to the school budget.

Those who do not have the purple gown, ESPECIALLY THE SEC 1s and 2s that just joined the onzome and are playing for the upcoming concert and next year's SYF, please come for CCA on the 2nd July.

Attendance will be compulsory as the seamstress will be coming on that day to fit your costumes, or else it'll be on the 5th July. But we would like to get everything done at one shot so as to not cut into our practice sessions!

SYF on Monday was amazing. Was overwhelmed by the most awesome performance with you beloveds & by the fact that it was my very last performance, tears welled up. Omg sorry everyone but I couldn't control my emotions. HAHA sorry for starting the drama as it wasn't as if we got our results but I'm very proud of everyone! I mean, do you all even remember how we played before & on Monday? Major difference! It goes to show that with willingness, the will be improvements, keep it up everyone! Ty juniors for the farewell & the gifts. I truly appreciated your dedication towards SYF, your time preparing the gifts & especially for these past 4 months! My Monday & Friday 3pm-6pm+ people, you all will be dearly missed & I'll pop by to visit ya'll whenever I'm free alright. I know the pressure you all are gna undergo with the new batch but remember my favourite quote: Walking is easy when the road is flat. God put mountains in our lives so we can learn how to climb! :D The graduating batch advises will be useful if you approach us so just find us when you all need help! Remember, they will be part of the SYF team in 2011 so do guide them along no matter how agitated you are. &&& lastly, tytytytyty Gillian Koh for being there with the sec ones during practices! Hi everyone, I really appreciate all the effort put in as a team. I spoke to the judges individually after the feedback session and also the CCA officers. They had positive comments and they enjoyed the music very much. I also got the contact of the judge from Australia :D (right, okay? haha) I honestly don't care that much about the result, I was very happy from the moment you played your final note on stage. I was very satisfied and pleased with TPJC, SAC and ACJC, that means ALL of you! I feel proud of your performance and you muct hold your head up high because your conductor (in one of the very rare and honest moments) is reminding you that WE DID VERY WELL for the SYF performance. Thank you very much! :)

well, today was a long day for those who went to watch the results. get some rest, and we'll see you in school soon! I hope.

I just wanna say congrats to everyone because WE DID IT! And I'm here on behalf of the seniors saying we are IMMENSELY PROUD of every single on of you! today was by far (and I really mean it) our BEST performance! don't care about what other people say! because all that matters is you know that YOU did your best and WE all made it through together! and besides, I'm sure the teachers who were there were really happy with our performance!

well compared to the first time we've played, we played WAY BETTER didn't we? all of us have made the closest friends we'll remember probably forever and I'm sure this SYF has bonded the whole ensemble. and not just people in your level alone but senior-junior relationships as well! I guess what I'm trying to say is, treasure the relationships you have with each other! because it'll give you great memories when you look back one day! I don't even remember crying so bad last year! haha, SEEEE we do love you OH SO MUCH (: !

Dear all SAC guitarists,
27 April will be here pretty soon and we all have waited for this day. Do rest well and sleep early over the weekend, or else you will get dark circles round your eyes and i'm sure you girls don't want those to blend with your make-up on monday right? Anyway, do spend an hour or so to practise on the parts that you still need to work on, but don't OVER-PRACTISE okay? Give yourself and your fingers amble rest. I believe that we can play well and beautifully on monday. Just need to smile a little more, FEEL and MOVE along with the music more...don't be so OPPRESSED like what Mr Choo has mentioned and STONED like what Angelyn has commented. So take note on that. Just let go of yourself, let go of your nervousness and follow Mr Choo's lead, everything will be fine. Do LOOK UP more since you all have got no more files to look at, so try to LOOK UP and FOLLOW Mr Choo's conducting as much as possible. Our TOGETHER-NESS is important. WE SHALL MOVE TOGETHER, ENJOY THE TIME TOGETHER AND GO THROUGH IT TOGETHER. As some of you have mentioned or rather given feedbacks on last wednesday rehearsal, if you think that it might be too cold, please bring your jacket or hand warmer on monday. Before you go on stage, do hand exercise and stretch your fingers. DON'T EVER TELL YOUR FRIENDS THAT YOU'RE SCARED AND NERVOUS, BECAUSE THEY'RE JUST AS NERVOUS AS YOU, AND YOU'RE JUST GONNA MAKE IT WORSE BY SAYING IT OUT. NERVOUSNESS IS CONTAGIOUS! so just remain silent for a few minutes before entering the stage and calm down. Breathe deep in and tell yourself that YOU CAN DO IT! okay? My friend from Angklung told me to tell you all to just ENJOY THE MUSIC, DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE RESULT OR WHAT MEDAL WE'RE GONNA GET. So, don't be too stressed up and smile to everyone before the show starts. Okay? =)

Here's a few things all of you have to take note for Monday:

Bring gown and court shoes (very important! and please try your best not to crumble your gown)
Bring black hair rubberband and black clips
No hairband
No watches and necklaces
No sport bra
Remember who is sitting next to you and enter/exit stage in order
Look out for when Mr Choo comes out on stage and stand up together
Remember how to stand, where your hands should place on your guitar while standing (both hands on top of the guitar)
DO NOT fidgeting about (touching your hair, face etc..) at the end of the pieces or when you're standing!

The plan for Monday:

7:45-8:00 : Assemble at sunken foyer before proceeding to dance studio (aft assembly)
8:00-10:30 : Hair, make-up
10:30-11:00 : Collect instruments, move to AV, clean guitars and finish up the make-up
11:00-11:30 : Lunch (not provided)
11:30-12:20 : Change to gown, patch up on the make-up
12:20-12:30 : Warm up
12:30-13:30 : Dry run
13:30-13:40 : Leave school
13:40-14:30 : Reporting time
15:00 : Performance time

Aren't you excited that you can FINALLY showcase the 2 pieces which you've been playing over the months? Aren't you happy that your chance has come to shine after seeing the other PFA groups coming back with pride? Sec 4s, aren't you glad that your journey in the ensemble will end with something that you've put so much effort in? When you step on stage, just focus, and you can afford to look proud (yes stand tall, walk and sit GRACEFULLY, DON'T display the 'omg-i-am-so-scared' face), don't think about whether you will miss a note or not, but rather, you can play it so well becos you've play it at least 500 times before so you're a pro now! YES, YOU'RE A PRO, YOU'RE AWESOME! (okay don't let your heads swell, but I hope you feel GREAT ENOUGH to unleash your super pro talent on stage) OH YA, SLEEP EARLY NEXT NEXT SUNDAY UH!

hey all!

let's see, it's just another 2 weeks till SYF. and as of this week, we're gonna start extra practices. I know, some of us have tuition/piano or whatever stuff but it's just gonna be for 2 weeks. so let's just sacrifice for just another 2 weeks yea?

for the sec 4s, guess what? we're gonna leave the ensemble soon, and YES, syf will be our LAST and final performance. I'm sure all of us want to leave having known that we've done our part in cca right? and besides, it's through cca that we've got to know friends that we've grown to love (: i know all of us have to prepare for O's and we have to sacrifice much of our study time, and all the pile of homework just continues to get higher and higher. but common, we've got to persevere for just another 2 weeks, and also treasure the time we have left together in the ensemble.

Hello everyone.
As you know we are gonna have extra practice for sectionals for the next few weeks because there isn't much time left and we need extra practice to improve on certain areas so i hope your can co-operate with us and come for the practices. Its just for the next few weeks! Remember we are taking part in the SYF TOGETHER!!

I've send a sms to some of your to choose either wed or thursday for the extra practice and the MAJORITY prefers WEDNESDAY!
so its CONFIRM on WEDNESDAy. we will start from next week onwards from 3.30 to 5.30.

We are also wanting to have another extra practice one saturday most probably next week too! we will get back to your soon.

I hope all those with tuition or other activities on the various extra practices can postpone it to another day. I realllyyyyy want FULL attendance!! Syf is just a stone throw away, 27 April 09. Results will be out the following day and we are hoping everyone can go!

SYF Preparation Quick Check!

1) Have you memorised your pieces thoroughly? (Every single note, dynamics, phrasing, tempo)
2) Are you able to play without looking at your fingers at least for more than 50% of your piece?
3) Are you producing a good tone? Is it too sharp or are you buzzing?
4) Are you able to listen to the other guitar parts when playing?
5) Are you able to immerse yourself in the music and feel the flow of it?
6) Are you expressing your feelings by nodding?
7) Did you take a deep breath at the start of the pieces and at any other appropriate places?
8) Are you looking at the conductor for at least more than 60% of the time?
9) Did you file/shape your nails?
10) Have you change your guitar strings?

12) Are you clear of your seating arrangement?
13) Are you clear of how to enter/exit on stage?
14) Do you know the standardized way of holding the guitar?

If your answers are all yes to the above questions, congrats! You are on the way to the battle of the SYF! If you have any NO to the above questions, please please please ask your section leaders/student conductor/presidents/Mr Choo. 18 days to the SYF, YOU will determine how the battle is gonna be like, and YOU, the team of 2009 will decide how you are going to rock the house down with your 2 pieces and convince YOUR audience!

Tmr's assembly performance is cancelled because the hall is gonna be used for the study skills seminar so you guys dun need to report early just come the usual time! i'll inform you when is our turn to preform k?

Hey there,

Just like to say that today was probably one of my best visit to the GE. I'm very happy to see that the spirit of the ensemble is there again, and the power is on! Your faces transform from the 'lets-play-the-pieces-again' to the 'lets-play-it-now-we-can-do-it' face. (: Do keep it going, LAUGH during ensemble practices, I mean of course, not during the inappropriate times. Create this lively (or livelier) atmosphere, going through the process of relaxing and enjoying the sound you produce. Be happy that you are all in this together. And make sure that every practice is better than the previous (In terms of enjoyment, playing standard, bonding) ok? I hope you all will deliver a HAPPY and ENJOYABLE performance on Saturday! Play your best, remember YOUR BEST! SMILE. (:

I remembered on the very last prac before SYF 07, we were being asked what was our favourite colour, I didn't quite get it then (I mean for that few secs), well, I hope WE all know what colour is it, with a few sparkles (to represent honours k). (:(:(:

many many congratulations to everyone! we have made it! we've brought the trophy and honors back to our school, to our Guitar Ensemble and to ourselves! Though i didn't win the best conductor prize, but i'm happy beyond words for what we have achieved together as a team. The credit goes to every single one of you for putting in your efforts to get what we wanted to. Nevertheless, I'm not disappointed for not winning the best conductor award because i know that i've given it my best shot and i have no regrets at all. Thank you for all your encouragement and supports so far. I also want to thank specially Mr Choo for your guidance and dedication to teaching. Though you sprained your neck on the very last practice before the competition, you still came to help me with the ensemble. I also wanna thank Ms Farah for organised everything for us, luckily we had lunch in school, otherwise we wouldn't be able to make it back to school on time due to the heavy rain.

To the alumni seniors and friends:
Thank you for all your supports and encouragement, though it was really an indirect pressure i've gotten from all of you, but yeah i guess it's good. Haha. So, we didn't let all of you down and my dear Tiffany, your beloved trophy is back but unfortunately, not back to your house. Hahah. I'm glad that we really brought it back for you and yeah, don't worry, i'll note on the comments you've given and work on them with the ensemble, and also sorry for not winning the best conductor award. Anyway, special thanks to Angelyn and Sherrill for your constant visits and the sweet as an encouragement to everyone. Thanks for your inspirational quotes and unceasing supports. I'm really touched and grateful for your presence when i felt like giving up hopes. But rest assured, i won't give up hopes and let all of you down. Thanks to Cherie for your presence there to cheer for us too. I really miss those times when all of us were in that purple gown and had so many fond memories together.

To my dear president and vice-presidents:
See! I told you (namely Amanda and Petrina), we will get 1st! and we did get 1st! This marks our very last and final Guitar Competition that we took part in, and i'm really glad that we brought back what we have lost the previous year. Just have faith in yourselves knowing that you've done your best, because your best efforts will be paid off. So, let's work together on our weaknesses and achieve our common goal. Never settle for less. And never let doubts control you. Yeah it's our very last 100m to sprint and to give it our very best shot. Like what Angelyn has said- We are winners if we try to attain the best, not the award. So, maybe we'll call for a celebration on one of the cca day this coming week. Good job done girls!

The competition marked our last and final one in this SACGE. I hope that we will continue to work hard together for our very last SYF as well. Make it a very memorable one and successful one before we leave. With no regrets when looking back. Jia You!

To all SACGE members:
I wanted to shake hands with all of you for this success but i didn't get a chance to. Anyway, i hope that this winning has motivated everyone to do even better and work even harder towards SYF. Never be complacent. It is easy to be at the top but is never easy to maintain staying at the top. Now, the opponents are no longer other schools' guitar ensemble, but yourselves. You are the one to call the shot now, to decide whether you want to maintain the best by continuing to work hard for it or, to be content with where you are and relax. You decide. SYF is just a month away. There's still time for us to work on our weaknesses and come back on stage even stronger, better and more confident. The base for Una Noche, you know your runs are not perfect yet, work on it while you still have time to. Same goes for the rest of you. Aim for the best and you will get the best, if you're willing to work hard for it. I've seen that all of you have given your best shot on stage last friday, you all did look up, followed my conducting. Thank you. We'll continue to work on our expressiveness and things like dynamics, phrasings and blend. Please take a look at the videos, see what we need to improve on and your suggestions are most welcomed! Helloooo! Once again, Congrats! You guys have finally clinched back the 1st prize for the competition! Well done! All your hardwork have been paid off! Including staying back for self-practice, all the 'naggings' etc. :D

There are 3 other entries below this, so do scroll down and read them as well! Alright, now that we've finish our first 'war', its time to get ready and be prepared for your second 'war'. SYF is in another 43 days time! Which is an approx. 10 more practices, not including self-practice on wednesdays. Continue to work hard or work super hard I'm sure you'll be able to sustain the Gold with Honours standard! :)

Strive hard every practice! One important point to note, please pleaseeee work hard on your expressions. Try not to stone there. I've video-ed down your WHOLE performance for competition. Right, all three pieces. Its in Maria's camera. You guys can burn it into a CD or something then watch it and take note of places which should be improved! :)

Congrats to you girls! (Justina, you may consider a fortune telling job in future) Please scroll down and look at more posts! I'm sure the award is a morale booster, so please keep the morale up high and going all the way till the SYF! (:

But but, pls don't be crazy to think that you don't have to put in any effort anymore. I'm sure all of you have seen for yourself how much the other ensembles have improved, so YOU ALL should work even doubly harder now becos I'm very sure every other ensembles will chiong too! Make sure every practice is an improvement from the previous ok? The award is not an indication of excellence, it is an indication that you still have somemore to go to attain excellence! And it is possible to make the experience one of the best, if you are willing to make it one of your best (it comes with TEAMwork)! Like I mentioned in my sms in the morning, play your best on stage, whatever it is, it is your best for that very moment. I was impressed by the fact that you all seem to be following Maria quite closely. Expression and phrasing, more to come ok?

I believe most of you are still in the state of surprise, well i am!
its seems like a dream doesnt it?
But it is real, real, REAL!

Good job, everyone! I knew you guys will make SAC and our seniors proud!
However, we musn't be complacent and there is still room for improvement. This is only the first step closer to our GWH! I believe if we continue to put our best and improve we can surely do it!

I hope everyone's more or less prepared (: anyway, im just here to say that it doesnt matter what the result is, as long as WE ALL PUT IN OUR BEST! please remember pratice starts bright and early at 9am. bring your court shoes and gown if you havent, and if you can, practice!

some things to take note of:
1) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE look at maria when she's conduting because she's gonna cue us in for a lot of parts, especially for dawn
2) PLEASE try as much to lift up your fingers when you switch chords for una noche, especailly for the bass because there's a lot of you and the sound is quite loud when you play together.

hey everyone!

are you feeling excited for the competition? ahah...you know i am quite excited for it and kinda nervous too. But yeah! i know we all can do it and i will do my best to make you all proud. So, work hard for it all the way till the very last second and never give up okay? You can make a difference by doing your own part in playing well, MOVE TO THE MUSIC and LOOK UP! honestly, when i stand up there conducting...it's much more inspirational and exciting when you all move and respond to the music that you're playing. When you all just play without any expression, it's really...well...in my words it's like so boring to conduct and not at all enjoyable. So yeah. Please make an effort to move or just nod along with the note that you play...Sec 3 and 4 seniors had watched the concert that time on Canossian St's day when Hope For Monday band sang so impressively awesome and everyone was like dancing to their music. You could see how they engaged their audience. They were standing and playing the electric guitars at the same time, even singing too and they could move along with the music so vigorously, why can't we? We're sitting down playing, we don't even have to use our lungs to sing out loud, so it is much easier for us to move right? We have to do this in order to impress the judges and the audience, this will make us to be outstanding and different from other school too! Anyway, we want to be outstanding and different right? I know SAC girls always do! I know you may feel unglam doing it, but sacrifice just a few minutes for that unglam-ness just to win, it's not that difficult isn't it? if you're afraid of being unglam, how about me? I'm like standing there, moving like no one's business, i dont know how or what the audiences are thinking or talking about me behind my back but actually i don't really care. Or else, i wouldn't have volunteered to stand up there and conduct right? So just wipe out all the thoughts and your consciousness of what people are thinking of you, just do it because you want to win, and because you want to be impressive! okay?

A few reminders for friday. Please please please remember to bring your gown and court shoes on friday. For those who doesn't know how court shoes look like, please ask your friends who know or your mum because they definitely know! or go to bata shop and ask the ppl there, bata definitely sells court shoes. You can buy a pair for this coming competition and keep it for SYF too. No hairband allowed and no necklace. Please also pack and arrange your scores neatly. I don't know the order of the pieces yet but make sure you have all 3 pieces inside your file- Allegro, Una Noche and Dawn( Amenacer).

Extra practice will be on Wednesday 11 march at 2:15pm-4pm. Meet at MPR2 with your guitars. I expect full attendance except those who have given me their reasons for not being able to turn up. More announcements will be made during CCA practice. So keep working hard and enjoy your weekend=)

Hey all!

Just wanna mention a few things that i've observed for the past few practices.
Firstly, I can see lots of improvement in terms of punctuality because so far i haven caught anyone strolling in after 330 on mondays and 3 on fridays. WELL DONE so do continue coming on time. Secondly, i can see more people putting in effort to move to the music. Keep it up :D

HOWEVER, what majority of you are lacking is the respect and discipline to refrain from talking during practices. We've mentioned this so many times but its still the same for every practice. We realised that its just so hard to get your attention everytime we wanna say something. SO... please i hope your can do us a favour and co-operate with us. Make the best out of every sectionals and ensemble and stop talking cuz everytime we have to stop to get ur attention lots of precious time is wasted when we could have used it for better use. Also, when you do not have your own private conversations can we then finish ON TIME!

okay, i hope that ur keep this in mind and remind your friends if they are always talking! Remember, we are not far from our SYF! We need to be serious and WAKE UP from lala land! I BELIEVE we CAN sustain our GWH if we WORK TOGETHER AS AN ENSEMBLE! I hope the little notes that we wrote to your is motivating enough to get us through our SYF. Read them every now and then! As we strive together always keep this in mind, " Hope sees the invisible, feels the intangible and acheives the impossible"

LAst but not least, know that " you are not finished when you lose, you are finished when you quit!"
